Doctor Strange Madness of Multiverse Spoiler Free Review

After much anticipation and getting pushed from March to May , Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness finally hit the theatres worldwide on 06.05.2022.
With Benedict Cumberbatch set to return as Doctor Strange in it's second installment and Elizabeth Olsen back as Wanda.
The movie revolving around Multiverse as the name and trailer clips suggest.

Direction and Cinematography :

Directed by Sam Raimi , it was a typical Sam Raimi movie with a lot of horror elements and at times felt like a zombie movie rather than a typical Superhero movie. Marvel has been trying different arcs and storylines ever since the Infinity Saga ended and this was one of them. Although I personally liked the arc , it's not everyone's cup of tea like a Marvel movie usually is.

Cinematography and VFX won't let you down at all and is pivotal to the entire movie as any superhero movie.
(As this is a No Spoiler Review we won't dive into the plot)
Overall the plot was very obvious and you could connect the dots if you watch fan theories and trailers. Marvel before didn't give up key elements of movie up and even showed clips which didn't feature in the film but now the trailers are making the plot way too obvious.

(Spiderman No Way Home - Poor editing giving away Andrew and Tobeys return
Dr. Strange - You'll know for youself after watching
Thor Love and Thunder - Giving away crunch scene of Jane Foster welding Mjolner)
This strategy and arc with trailer robs you of the suprise element and doesn't give you goosebumps and make you sit on the edge of seat as you would already figure out what's gonna happen next.
Although Post Credit scene wont disappoint you.

Actors Performance :

Benedict Cumberbatch : As you expect from Benedict Cumberbatch he didn't disappoint and took the centre stage and performed his role really well like he did before.

Elizabeth Olsen : You know how great an actor she is if you've watched Wanda Vision and she kept up with her performance here too.

Xochitl Gomez : Xochitl Gomez casted as America Chavez for the first time performed her role on point.

I personally loved Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo and Racheal McAdams as Dr Christine Palmer irrespective of the screentime they got.

You can't complain with Marvel's recruitment of actors ever.

Conclusion :
The movie runs for 2hrs and may feel like it should've been bit longer as things didn't seem to feel like getting wrapped up properly at the end. The ending was underwhelming and the movie as a whole kind of predictable too.
Nevertheless the movie is still entertaining with a lot of suprises and twists. Worth watching at the big screen.

Rating : 7.5/10
