Italy , what does it reminds you when it comes to Italian football , the failure for qualifying for the 2018 World Cup? Well they have come a long way since then in 3 years under Maccini as they were the first team to qualify for Euro 2020 and had a perfect 10 out of 10 wins in the qualifiers. Maccini has tried tested with a lot of players in the team. He has called up 68 different players and no other Italian manager has done it so it's safe to say Italy are playing the best squad possible. Italy don't really have a star player like Lukaku or Ronaldo or Mbappe but guess what they have loads of talent and depth in their squad in every department. Italy are known for parking the bus and attacking on counters but they aren't the same anymore.

They play in a 4-3-3 with a holding midfielder in Jorginho and like keeping the possession and creating as much chances as they can. Probably for the first time in Italy's history their strongest area isn't the defence but the midfield with the likes of Psg star midfield Verrati , Champions League winner Jorginho , Serie A best midfielder Nicolo Barella , a much sorted after Manuel Locatelli of Sassulo. Having a strong midfield doesn't mean they are any less at the back with the old guard of Bonucci and Chiellini but also Accerbi and Serie A winner with Inter in Bastoni. On left side of defence they have Spinazolla and Emerson of Chelsea and on the right back they have Di Lorenzo and Florenzi both decent enough players. Up top Italy is stacked with stars like Insigne , Immobile , Cheisa , Berardi , Belotti. Italy have the squad and team chemistry along  with manager who has won PL with Manchester City and 3 Serie A titles with Inter Milan in Roberto Maccini. Italy haven't been beaten in 28 consecutive international games since the disappointment against Sweden. 

They aren't a dark horse but they are one of the contenders for the Euro they have it all what it takes to make it all the way to the finals but a quarter final - semi final appearance is the minimum Italy can achieve with this squad so don't sleep on Italy as they have already proved against Turkey what they are capable of doing and can do.
